A First Look at the NEO 2 Secret Figures 
A friend of mine in Hong Kong has gotten us a "first look" at the secret figures in Gundam Collection NEO 2. We are not sure if these are all of the secret figures in NEO 2, but they most likely are. The figures are:
- Zeta Gundam (MSZ-006-3Z)
- "Hobby" Hi-Zack from Char's Counterattack
- Gold Hyper-Mode Shining Gundam
- Berserker-Mode Nobel Gundam

NEO 2 Variations According to Hobby Japan
Loyal reader aiktat has shared with us the list of "variations" from NEO Collection 2, according to the magazine Hobby Japan. The variations pictured to the right are listed first:
If anyone can further corroborate this list, please let me know.
- Strike Freedom Gundam - rifles in both hands / beam shield and saber
- Destiny Gundam - gun in right hand / an alternate pose (possibly gun in left hand and firing palm beam on right hand)
- Rick Dom - bazooka / heat saber
- Bolinoak Samaan - empty hands / beam saber
- Gaza-C - empty hands / beam saber
- Taurus Mobile Doll - beam rifle / a different gun (possibly beam cannon?)
- Serpent - double gatling gun / a different gun (possibly beam cannon or bazooka?)
- Blaze ZAKU Phantom - machine gun / heat axe
- Shining Gundam - normal colors / gold "Hyper Mode" color
If anyone can further corroborate this list, please let me know.

Secret Charactor Prediction: Heine's Zaku Phantom (orange-amber color),Destiny with beam wing, CHar's Rick Dom,
Taurus flight mode is most less lightly to be secret, as BANDAI seldom do MA-MS variant as secret, normally is color variant or totally a new charactor, or sometime slight modification to the original figure.

a legless Perfect Zeong perhaps,
maybe Bawoo (Palace Athene w/out backpack), or Gaplant w/out Booster! LOL!

DX3 Release Date and Figure List Confirmed
DX3's November release date has been confirmed, and the usual figure line-up picture has been revealed. The Heavyarms figure has a missile-launching effect, much like the firing-gun effect we've seen in the NEO series... seems a little cheesy to me. The only difference I can see between these pictures and the one from the hobby show is that the Xamel has its gun folded-up and stowed. I don't know if the gun is moveable, or if there will be two versions of the figure - one with the gun deployed and one with it stowed. Hopefully it'll be the former, but we'll have to wait and see.

Wow, good eyes. I didn't notice the cannon on the Xamel at first.
Have DX's been articulated in the past? The figure list doesn't note 'moveability,' as did the NEO sets. - Posted by at 10/17/2005 12:08 AM:
The Xamel is most likely comes in 2 version, that is the way how BANDAI create weapon variants in GC, remember, Xamel don't have any other weapon, no riffle, guns, bazooka or sabers, just the main cannon.
The Neo 2 variation is also known, not all but most of the figures got variants: Strike Freedom (riffles/ beam shield+saber), Destiny(not sure what is different but was listed in Hobby Japan), RickDom(bazooka/heat stick),Bolinoak Samaan (saber/hand),KAza C(saber/hand),Taurus Black(2 types of gun), Serpent(2 types of guns),Blaze Zaku(axe/gun), Shining Gundam (gold/normal color). - Posted by at 10/17/2005 12:11 AM:
Hmm, i think i know how Neo 2 Destiny Gundam is different in its variants: one with right hand holding gun left hand nothing, the other one with right hand open up shooting its palm beam while left hand holding gun.

DX3 Release Date... November!
According to HobbyLink Japan, Gundam Collection DX3 is expected in late November. They have it up for preorder with a 5% discount... I am surprised DX3 is coming out so soon, just one month after NEO 2 is released and within two months of first being revealed at a Japanese toy show. Perhaps we will start getting more frequent releases now, something every month or two, instead of every two to four months?

Finally- I've been waiting for HLJ's preorder to show up.
This set really looks fantastic compared to the previous two DX offerings. I'm shooting for the set of Endless Waltz figures, since it looks like they form a semi-display.
Maybe Bandai intended this set to be a companion to NEO2- esp. since the Serpent Custom, Tauruses, and G Gundam figures were released in that set. - Posted by at 10/04/2005 9:45 PM:
I was thinking the same thing as akum6n. It seems like Neo 2 and DX 3 are meant to complement each other, at least where Endless Waltz is concerned. I just hope the Perfect Zeong is actually to scale - the Psyco Gundam had to be somewhat miniaturized to fit it in the box... - Posted by at 10/06/2005 4:00 AM:
Don't worry Simmons, they Perfect Zeong is actually same size with last time zeong in DX1, just adding 2 legs to it. If you satisfy with DX1 Zeong, so will you with this perfect zeong.
